Haven’t been writing for a while. Excuse? First of all, I went to Oxford for few days (I know, I didn’t plan it too), it was kind of lastminute.com decision made by me and the boy. It was the bank holiday weekend (I love those 3 days off people have, don’t you?), 11 o’clock in the evening, me getting a call to do something. We come with the idea of meeting in Victoria station and hopping into the first bus which is going somewhere (Sweet? Romantic? Or just bizarre? You tell me). There was a temptation arising to take the bus going to Scotland but that will be more than half of the day traveling (Me and the bus trips don’t appear in the same sentence) so the next coach going to Oxford was at 00:05. One hour and a half drive on the back seat (well to tell the truth 5 of them and a bit of cuddling) we arrived in cold town. Expectations were high: well it supposes to be the town with students partying and moreover it is bank holiday. Surprise surprise: the places were shutting at 3, so no more entrance, people were heading home, places were shutting, hotels were full – sounds bad (and it was. Bloody cold and nothing to do). We managed to get to some dungeon (some student bar) where I felt the oldest girl there ( everyone was in their 20’s and I am the one who is going to hit ¼ of century later this year, damn). Few whiskey and cokes, me getting confused with the bathrooms (I wasn’t drunk. The thing was that there were guys in both of them) – left the place, got the taxi which took us to some of the hotels further from the town. Travel Lodge was our shelter for a night (well we checked in at 4 am). Some late TV watching, also seeing some gay couple making out in their room which windows were opposite ours, giggling, talking and something else (I leave it to your imagination), I was quickly asleep.
Next day went back to the town, done some sightseeing (some pictures taken), visiting some pubs, having a bite, using the public transport to get to the famous pub (the taxi driver a night before recommended it), two hours trip on the bus – I never were so happy to be back to London (there is always something to do, places open after 3 am, hotels vacant). My bank holiday weekend was continuing with a boy staying at mine and just watching DVD’s, having some pizza, delicious Dutch caramel waffles (OMG, they are delicious, I am hooked).
